Local Business Hosts Free “Swap It, Sell It, Rock It!” Event to Spark Interest in Geology

MASSILLON, OH – Fantasia Mining is proud to announce the return of its annual community event, “Swap It, Sell It, Rock It!” on Saturday, May 9th, 2026. This free event is designed to bring together local rockhounds and introduce the general public to the natural wonders of geology.

While Fantasia Mining is a local gemstone and mineral business, this specific event is hosted as a free public service to the community. There is no cost for admission, and unlike traditional trade shows, there are no fees for enthusiasts to set up and display their collections, trade, sell, or educate the general public about rocks, fossils, gemstones, and minerals.

“This event is our way of sharing the incredible wonders of the earth with all of NE Ohio,” says organizer David Suit. “It’s a hands-on, community-driven experience that moves beyond the hobbyist circles, showing everyone just how fascinating the world beneath our feet really is. Our real hope is to spark that ‘aha!’ moment for a child who picks up their first crystal or fossil. We aren’t just trading stones; we’re building a community of people who look at the natural world with a sense of wonder and want to preserve its history for the next generation.”
